Supported Environments
EasyLicenser provides software license management and copy protection for applications developed in Java, C, C++, Visual Basic and .NET languages, as well as all languages that are capable of calling out to C, ActiveX and Java, on all major Windows, Linux and Unix platforms. For a specific list of supported languages, platforms and operating system versions, please refer to the EasyLicenser data Sheet. Please see Additional Downloads for information on additional available languages and platforms and how to get the downloads.

Do You Need To Perform Another Download?
The current download version is 2.5.01. If you already have EasyLicenser installed, you can check the version you currently have before performing a download by starting your License Manager user interface and checking the Help..About box, or by viewing the README file. Please note that you need to be a subscription customer in order to upgrade your license to EasyLicenser 2.5 from EasyLicenser 2.0

Functionality
The evaluation copy provides all the functionality of the production editions so you can use it for your complete development and integration cycle. The only differences from the production EasyLicenser release are related to the deployability of EasyLicenser and the generated keys for production:
The License Manager may be used for 30 days to generate up to the equivalent of 5000 end-user license keys.
All end-user license keys generated are time and usage-limited to 5 days and 5 uses respectively.

System Requirements For License Manager
To run the EasyLicenser License Manager to generate and manage licenses, you will need:
Operating System: Any Unix, Linux, Windows or Macintosh platform supporting Java 1.4 and above
Hardware: CPU: 600MHz+ with at least 128MB of RAM and 20MB Hard Disk space
Display: Minimum resolution: 1024x768 Recommended resolution: 1280x800
Software: Java 1.4 or above. Note that most systems including Windows XP have Java 1.4 or later preinstalled.

Full Installation
Select a directory and unzip the downloaded zip file ezlicmgreval.zip. A ezlic2.5 product installation root directory will be created. No further installation is required. Run EasyLicenser from inside this directory per instructions in the readme file, using either the run command or, on Windows, running the ezlicmgr25.jar executable jar file from Windows Explorer or the Start command. After you have tried EasyLicenser and if you wish to uninstall it, use the Deactivate command provided in the GUI and delete the ezlic2.5 directory.

Upgrade Installation
Use the upgrade installation if you want to upgrade your existing non-eCommerce EasyLicenser installation with the latest version of the software. The upgrade distribution has code but no data, and preserves your existing data files. It does not create an ezlic2.5 or other root directory. Important note: if you were an EasyLicenser 2.0 customer and you do not have a subscription license agreement in effect with Agilis, do not upgrade your installation to EasyLicenser 2.5, otherwise you may lose some of your license units.

After downloading the upgrade file ezlicmgrupgrd.zip, unzip it directly into your existing product installation root directory. Please see the readme file for further instructions and late-breaking news.

Installation For eCommerce
Use the eCommerce installation if you want to install or upgrade your existing eCommerce EasyLicenser installation with the latest version of the software. The eCommerce distribution has just the code required for Java-API-based key generation, and does not include the Java, C, C++ and Visual Basic SDK's, sample code or HTML documentation. Your existing data files are preserved, and an ezlic2.5 or other root directory is not created.

After downloading the upgrade file ezlicmgrecom.zip, unzip it directly into your eCommerce working directory. Follow the instructions in readme to run the license manager GUI or use the programmatic API's in order to recharge the installation with production keys to enable key generation.
If you are using EasyLicenser to generate network license keys, you will need the Orion network license server for your runtime environment. Please contact us directly to obtain a copy of Orion.

Multiplatform C/C++ Runtime Libraries
Use the C/C++ multiplatform runtime library download to obtain the EasyLicenser C/C++ runtime library binary code for all the supported platforms, currently 32-bit Windows, 32-bit Linux (Intel), 32-bit Solaris (SPARC) and 32-bit Solaris (Intel). The download zip file name is ezlmcppruntime.zip.
